What Guys REALLY Want for Valentine's Day (Jonathan's Version)
Valentine's Day is around the corner! This is NOT your typical "cologne, candle, personalized wallet" list you'll see about Valentine's Day gifts.
OK, one year I DID get him a personalized wallet, but he liked it...
This 2024 Valentine's gift list was crafted by Jonathan, but you can use it for almost anyone in your life.
Here are the 6 Things Guys REALLY Want for Valentine's Day, according to Jonathan:
1. Overalls/Personalized Shirt
OK, the overalls thing comes from Jonathan—he wanted some sturdy around-the-house overalls so he could stop worrying about keeping his pants up while he worked.
I got him a personalized shirt from Etsy for Christmas and he LOVED it (be careful of spam sellers and make sure the T-shirt account is legit!)
2. Grill Accessories (Blackstone/Traeger)
We got to Lowe's and head straight to the grill area for all the latest accessories, from griddle cleaning to BBQ tools.
We love this Blackstone Culinary Stainless Steel set for under $50.
3. Tools
Yes, it's a DIY cliche, but tools (or a gift card) will make any handyman happy! Jonathan said that even one hour alone at Lowe's would count as a gift.
4. Sporting Goods - Our Amazon Sports List
Whether it's golf, tennis, basketball, or competitive rowing, sports or memorabilia are a great gift. Look for an accessory, bag, or personalized gift to accompany them to their next game or match.
Jonathan loves the Phoenix Suns, so any team merch or sports organization is a win for him.
5. LEGOs/Video Games
Again, if your partner likes legos and video games, this is a great gift for Valentine's or birthdays! Jonathan has quite a few LEGO builds (so does Jenna), and it's a fun way to spend time together while watching a movie.
I got Jonathan a LEGO display case from Kingdom Brick Supply (he has 2 to keep his Star Wars LEGOs safe from kids and dust!)
6. Alone Time
One hour alone at Costco? Beautiful.
Take the kids for an hour or two and just let them nap. And they should return the favor for you on Valentine's Day as well.
6. Food/Restaurant Gift Card
What's better than food? The way to someone's heart is through their stomach. Give them a gift card or a date to THEIR favorite restaurant, not yours.
Jonathan's favorite food gift would be any giant frozen meat from Costco that he can come home and cook or grill, like King crab, brisket, ribs, etc.
